Job Summary:

Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns that drive Canvas' brand awareness, establish our technical capabilities, and support growth objectives in the government contracting sector. In this role, the candidate will bring years of experience in advertising, communications, and marketing to broadly promote Canvas' identity and culture. This role requires a strategic leader who can craft compelling narratives across multiple channels to influence various stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners, potential recruits, and regional markets. The ideal candidate will have experience with multimedia, social media, email marketing, internal communications, and traditional marketing approaches to create cohesive and impactful campaigns. A key focus will be on building lasting industry relationships, enhancing brand awareness, and supporting business growth in both existing and new markets.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Marketing Plan:

  • Create and execute integrated marketing campaigns tailored for the government contracting sector.
  • Align marketing strategies with company goals for business growth and brand strengthening in targeted audiences and geographic markets.
  • Develop messaging to clearly communicate capabilities, and support business objectives.
  • Ensure consistent brand representation across all marketing channels, including digital, print, multimedia, and direct media.

Market Research and Strategies:

  • Conduct research to understand the unique needs of government agencies, partners, and stakeholders in each market/region.
  • Tailor strategies to engage diverse audiences, including federal, state, and local government bodies, industry partners, and potential recruits.
  • Develop content that speaks to both technical capabilities and industry relevant solutions.

Multi-Channel Marketing Execution:

  • Oversee execution of campaigns across multiple channels, including social media, email marketing, website content, video production, print media, direct mail, and recruitment initiatives.
  • Develop and manage internal communications strategies and community outreach.
  • Engage key audiences and reinforce brand positioning.

Business Growth:

  • Collaborate with business development and capture managers to ensure marketing campaigns are aligned with growth opportunities and lead generation efforts.
  • Develop marketing content to support proposal development and recruitment efforts.
  • Create targeted campaigns to attract top talent and support recruitment initiatives, emphasizing the company's culture, mission, and growth opportunities.

Industry and Media Relations:

  • Establish and maintain relationships with key industry associations and partners to build brand, enhance visibility, and position as thought leader and trusted partner.
  • Manage relationships with external agencies and vendors to enhance campaign reach and effectiveness.

Data-Driven Insights and Reporting:

  • Track, measure, and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns using KPIs.
  • Provide regular reports on the effectiveness of marketing efforts, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for further growth.
  • Use analytics to refine targeting strategies, improve engagement, and increase ROI on marketing spend.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • 7-10 years of marketing experience, preferably in the government contracting industry.
  • roven success in developing and executing multi-channel marketing campaigns that drive business growth.
  • Experience with social media marketing, multimedia content, email marketing, print media, video production, direct marketing, and internal communications.
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence diverse audiences.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools, analytics platforms, and CRM systems.

Preferred:

  • Experience working with government agencies and industry partners.
  • Understanding of government procurement processes, contract marketing strategies, and industry dynamics.
