Position Description:

Radiance Technologies, a 100% employee-owned company, is seeking candidates for a Mid Level FPGA Digital Design Engineer to support a U.S. Space Force program. This position requires a talented and experienced FPGA Engineer to contribute to a larger multidisciplined engineering team to support the analysis/feasibility, planning/requirements, design, system development, testing, deployment, maintenance, evaluation, and disposition/disposal of a spacecraft payload. The FPGA Digital Design Engineer will design, simulate, synthesize and test FPGA designs with Verilog and VHDL. Candidate will be required to apply out-of-the-box thinking to develop novel, non-traditional designs typically not implemented on FPGAs. Must work well in a small, fast-paced and mission-driven environment.

Desired Qualifications:

BS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other relevant fields

Proficient in Verilog/VHDL design

Experience supporting the implementing complex designs on SoC FPGAs

Experience with digital ASIC and FPGA design flows

Experience developing firmware for custom CPUs

Experience with Xilinx FPGAs

Experience developing and testing FW on FPGA prototype environments

Experience with Hardware Security, Cryptography and/or Digital Rights Management

Desired Tool Experience: MATLAB, Python, Xilinx Vivado/ISE

Familiar with Linux and device drivers and Petalinux

Bare metal programming experience with no operating system using SOC, FPGA hardware.

Demonstrated experience in working with SDRs and RF communication.

Hands on experience in collecting and analyzing RF signals.

Familiarity with various modulation and demodulation techniques like FSK and/or PSK

Ability to implement signal processing algorithms, demodulation techniques.

Strong understanding of RF signal processing/signal analysis and wireless communication principles.

Ability to test and validation of RF systems to ensure optimal performance.

Required Experience:

BS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other relevant fields

Knowledge of RF hardware systems and testing equipment.

Four (4+) years digital design experience

Experience implementing complex designs in Verilog/VHDL for FPGA platforms

Hands-on experience with JTAG debuggers, logic analyzers and protocol analyzers

Knowledge of Linux and Petalinux.

Will require innovation, quick learning, excellent communication skills and adaptive thinking.

US citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Security Clearance:

Applicants will be required to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Applicants will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
