Actalent Project Manager in Huntsville, Alabama

Job Title: Project Manager - Mechanical ContractorJob Description

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will oversee planning, bidding, and executing approved projects. You will work closely with superintendents to manage schedules and manpower for drafting, fabrication, installation, and start-up. Responsibilities include submitting documents for approval, procuring equipment and materials, developing and enforcing safety programs, monitoring job progress, and maintaining professional relationships with stakeholders. You will also attend job meetings and ensure all contractual obligations are met.

Hard Skills

  • Project management experience at a mechanical contractor

  • Experience with installing water heaters, HVAC, plumbing, and ductwork

  • Approving shop drawings

  • Interacting with owners/general contractors

  • Procuring equipment and materials using purchase orders and subcontracts

Soft Skills

  • Strong communication skills

  • Ability to maintain professional rapport with various stakeholders

  • Attention to detail

  • Analytical skills for reviewing production reports and job costs

  • Leadership in developing and enforcing safety programs

Job Type

This is a permanent position.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Huntsville, Alabama.

Work Environment

In office majority of the time. Jobsites in town once a week and out of town once a month.
