Position: Software Development Intern

Location – Must be local to Huntsville, AL  

Overview

Noetic is seeking a creative, team-oriented developer who enjoys software development. This position will be part of an Agile Scrum team responsible for creating software applications for multiple customers. There may be multiple positions, some focused on frontend work, while others focused on backend work or some blend of the two.

Responsibilities

• Write code that is well-designed and testable against user stories

• Participate in Scrum meetings (sprint planning, standups, voting sessions, sprint reviews, sprint retrospectives)

• Exercise secure coding practices

• Work collaboratively with other developers on the team

• Understanding of Object-Oriented design patterns to promote efficiency and maintainability of code.

  Qualifications

   

• Familiarity with multiple architectures (scripting, Object-Oriented, microservices, Model-View-Controller)

• Ability to learn new libraries and frameworks as necessary

• Experience using git and a git repository such as Bitbucket

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Ability to communicate clearly

• Familiarity with Agile principles and Scrum framework

• Ability to work in a team-oriented Agile Scrum environment

• Experience understanding relational database design and working with SQL databases
