Are you ready to join Northrop Grumman? Put your experience to work as a Sr. Principal Field Service Engineer (FSE) to assist with the implementation and execution of worldwide Field Service operations supporting the US Army customer CUAS Program Office.

This position is in Huntsville, Alabama. Short-term travel to various CONUS/OCONUS locations possible with advance notice.

Duties Include:

Conducts technical analysis of product implementations, modifications and enhancements to product in accordance with specific customer specifications and implementations.

Troubleshoots technical problems and issues, determines technical solution in accordance with product and customer specifications, and recommends actions to program representatives for coordinative product solution.

Develop technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.

Applies extensive technical expertise, and has full knowledge of other related disciplines.

Work is performed without appreciable direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment. Completed work is reviewed from a relatively long- term perspective, for desired results.

Perform start-up testing and customer training on features and general maintenance of product

Provide the technical interface with product level integrated product teams

Conduct technical training and product briefing with customers, vendors, and company representatives

Ability to lift 40 Lbs.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree with 9 years’ experience or a Masters degree with 7 years' experience or High School diploma / equivalent with 13 years exp may be considered in Lieu of degree

6 years’ experience in Software, Hardware, IT, Networking

Current Secret Security Clearance

Must be located in or willing to relocate to Huntsville, AL

Must be familiar with C-RAM, C-UAS or IBCS architectures

Must be able to travel domestically and internationally

Experience supporting defense systems field testing (First Article, Design Variation, or Environmental)

US Citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience performing operator and administrative functions on the Forward Area Air Defense (FAAD) Command and Control (C2)

Experience with network configuration, troubleshooting, and an understanding of the OSI model and network architectures

Experience with configuration, troubleshooting, and installation of WARN equipment (ISN & OSN variants)

Experience with configuration, troubleshooting, and installation of Motorola P2P and Rajant Radios (2.4Ghz & 5Ghz variants)

Cisco Networking Fundamentals Certification (CCNA)

Experience working as a Cross-Functional Team Member

Experience in reviewing and conducting data analysis on deployed/fielded Major End Items (MEI) and developing solutions for field implementation

Experience in reviewing/redlining Network Data Packages (NDP)

Salary Range: $104,900 - $157,300

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
