Aerotek Inventory Coordinator in Hurlock, Maryland

Job Title: Inventory Coordinator

Job Description

Monday to Friday, with some Saturdays, 4-5am to 2-3pm.

Assist in establishing and maintaining safety levels for all brands housed in the Distribution Center.

Coordinate and lead in cycle counts and physical inventories and their reconciliation. Conduct aisle verifications & related reconciliation on the locator and mainframe systems.

Timely stock replenishment of specified products housed at DC from various supply locations.

Plan path of inventory to various local warehousing facilities and handle all related system transactions.

Coordinate repacking and conversion of products at various fulfillment centers.

Review, research, and reconcile negative on hand reports, balance less than zero and other reports.

Maintain, follow up, and expedite all transfer documents and conduct all related system transactions.

Compile and maintain information relating to the hold warehouse, aged, slow/non-moving inventories, bad pallets, as well as other related reports. Conduct all related system transactions.

Handle all product return information and ensure proper system processing.

Base replenishment needs on customer request timeframe, sales history, trends, to avoid shorts.

Plan inventory path from production to various storage facilities (multiple locations used, in addition to DC) to ensure proper stock rotation and maximizing space.

Work closely with traffic to ensure product arrival with relation to potential customer shorts.

Provide feedback, concerns, and suggestions with regard to problem areas of inventory control.

Determine demand and coordinate timely conversion at fulfillment centers.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 3 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Hurlock, Maryland.

Work Environment

Candidates will be working in a production environment. It is cold in the winter and warm in the summer as there is no air conditioning or heating. They will also be working next to machines that can give off a lot of heat. They will be in a food manufacturing environment, working around garlic, jalapeños, salsa, taco sauce, etc., so they need to be comfortable with strong smells.

Candidates will work either 10 or 12-hour shifts depending on the line and need to be comfortable standing for long hours. Due to being in a food manufacturing environment, they will have to wear gloves, beard nets, hair nets, ear plugs, and safety glasses, all of which are provided. They will need to supply their own steel-toe boots. Temporary workers are required to wear royal blue shirts, and two shirts will be provided when they start.

Candidates will be working on a line in a production environment with anywhere from 10-20 other people per line, depending on the season and what is being run. There can be up to 160-200 people in the warehouse during peak season, so they will be working around many people. Most candidates speak Spanish or Haitian Creole, so candidates must be comfortable working in such an environment.

Each candidate is given a locker and a lock to store their belongings each day. There is a break room for lunch with microwaves and vending machines.
