Humanetics Material Handler in Huron, Ohio

Material Handler

1st shift (8:30am - 5:00pm)

Role Purpose: Engaged in expediting flow of material, parts, and assemblies within or between departments of industrial plant by performing the following duties and other duties as assigned:

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Receive job order and identify location for material, job order, stock, sales order.

  • Discuss discrepancies in count with the Quality Control department to determine where the error occurred.

  • Receive hardware from the Shipping and Receiving Clerk and discuss discrepancies with the Shipping and Receiving Clerk to determine where the error occurred.

  • Pull required details for the work order.

  • Wrap parts for protection during shipment.

  • Pull parts and hardware for non-production purposes as needed.

  • Keep records of inventory transactions and monitor inventory levels.

  • Performing cycle counts.

  • Review negative quantities in stock, research, and fix.

  • Examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.

  • Follows standardized procedures to improve efficiency.

  • Adjusts errors and complaints.

  • Will be cross trained in shipping and receiving to serve as a backup.

  • Other duties as assigned.

    Education and/or Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED and six months to one-year related experience and/or training

  • Experience with expediting and scheduling.

  • Familiarity with inventory management systems

  • Familiarity with pull and KanBan Systems
