Description

Wheeler Machinery Co. is hiring a qualified Parts Team Leader for our Hurricane, Utah facility. This is a full-time position with benefits. The successful candidate will prioritize safety in all tasks and utilize TRACK/Tyfoom systems. This position is responsible for ensuring that our customers have a world-class experience with the parts department and for leading, coaching, and mentoring all direct reports in every aspect of our parts operations.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Safety is the primary focus of this role. You must personally adopt and instill Wheeler's safety culture across the team, working safely at all times, correcting any unsafe acts or conditions, and addressing near misses as they arise.

  • Collaborate with other departments and Campbell Companies to deliver a world-class customer experience.

  • Take ownership of issues and resolve them in a professional, timely, and efficient manner.

  • Manage all front-counter, customer-facing interactions, as well as warehouse and logistics operations, ensuring expectations are met in all areas at all times.

  • Oversee and dispatch the CRC Driver Fleet.

  • Manage and dispatch the Mobile Hose Repair Fleet.

  • Provide exceptional customer service.

  • Manage and reconcile cash accounts for the Hurricane branch.

  • Track and manage backorders for both internal and external customers.

  • Foster positive relationships with internal and external customers, coaching direct reports to do the same.

  • Manage Customer VMI Hose sites and ensure that all customer needs are met on-site.

Required Qualifications:

  • Clean driving, DOT and safety records.

  • This will be a bargaining unit position, leading by example for the other bargaining unit members and coach them when necessary.

  • Positive, open minded to new ideas and processes.

  • Understanding the urgency of our industries.

  • Ability to work and communicate effectively with co-workers and customers.

  • Promote a teamwork attitude working closely with all departments throughout the company.

  • Must have the desire and ability to develop people.

  • Takes initiative in developing new processes and strategies to gain efficiencies.

  • Knowledge with programs and software: DBS, WMS, Antares, and Microsoft office suite.

  • Familiar with Caterpillar Production Systems, lean 5S.

  • Ability to react well under pressure situations.
