Insight Global Data Analyst / Resource Coordinator in Immokalee, Florida

Job Description

Conducts background research on animals located in the hospital areas to understand the original location, health, behavior and reproductive history, number of times relocated on site, number of times introduced or reintroduced to the same cohort, social group or breeding group etc.

 Liaises with and manages the potential allocation of animals leaving the hospital or other indoor space, recommending, and coordinating these initiatives with the Behavior, Vet, and Breeding teams.

 Works alongside Behavior and Veterinarian teams to identify problem cages with a high number of cases going to the hospital.

 Strategizes and optimizes use of housing space in the facility, especially indoor space.

 Drives creation and implementation of animal inventory management processes through use of current IAMs system or other.

 Prepares reports and summaries on hospital animal numbers and other important data to identify causes of morbidity in the home cage environment.

 Conducts research on animal care regulations, policies and guidelines and implements new policies/processes to ensure compliance; and/or standards to improve laboratory animal research/education efforts; responsible for the implementation of new solutions/procedures to address business needs.

 Proactively identifies and implements process improvements.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelors degree

1-3 years of experience in a similar role

Good analytical skills and ability to interpret data

Self-starter with good independent work ethic

Proficient using MS Office (advanced Excel) Understanding the principles of nonhuman primate behavior. null
