Naval Sea Systems Command ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in Indian Head, Maryland

Summary You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the Energetic Technology Division of NAVSURFWARCEN IH DIV. Responsibilities You will exercise the authority and responsibility responding to questions involving custody and processing of public funds. You will provide advice and guidance to management officials and project managers on all aspects of budget execution or financial management. You will provide procurement, contractual, workload and financial input data for assigned programs. You will assure that adequate funding is received and allocates properly within the divisions or field activities. You will manage funding through fund documents, fund/ cost transfers, share point and in ERP. You will distribute funding reports to project managers. You will assure that problems with deficits, obligations and returns are quickly resolved. You will identify over expenditures and works with project manages to make corrections. You will attend program reviews, meetings, contract reviews and provides financial reporting. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band, NT-03 (GS-09/10 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Managing public funds to provide financial guidance, oversee budget execution, and distribute funding reports for the optimization or improvement of an organizational program.
