Naval Sea Systems Command ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in Indian Head, Maryland

Summary You will serve as an Administrative/Technical Specialist (Acquisition Team Lead) in the Energetics Manufacturing Department of NAVSURFWARCEN IH DIV. The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $153,354). Responsibilities You will review the work of junior specialists at the branch level to assign tasks, train, and mentor. You will work directly with the Branch Management to determine workload and staffing requirements. You will create and analyze data on the department procurement processes. You will resolve disputes, verify funding, ensure contractor performance, review, approve invoices, oversee all aspects of the Cartridge Actuated Devices Propellant Actuated Devices (CADPAD) and Extruded products inventory and procurement systems. You will serve as a senior specialist to interface between contracting officers, procurement officers, and comptroller's office. You will serve as a Contracting Office Representative and perform duties in order to represent the contracting officer and to ensure proper execution of the assigned contract(s). You will support a manufacturing organization. You will be required to report to the duty location advertised in the announcement on a regular and reoccurring basis. Occasional telework options may be available. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS 11/12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing inventory, procurement processing, and interfacing between contracting officers, comptrollers, or purchasing specialists. Education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-13 and GS-14. Certain incentives (such as Recruitment, Relocation or Student Loan Repayment) may be authorized to eligible selectees.
