Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Indianapolis, Indiana

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Indianapolis, Indiana. This role primarily revolves around the financial industry, specifically dealing with accounts payable functions. As an integral part of our team, you will be expected to handle a variety of tasks related to vendor invoices, utility bills, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Daily management of invoices for assigned residential properties

• Scanning and filing of utility bills and liaising with site managers

• Ensuring accurate and timely filing of Accounts Payable invoices

• Scanning and filing bank statements as part of record maintenance

• Generation of financial reports through Adobe for end-of-month distribution

• Quarterly assembly of invoices for replacement reserve draws

• Utilize accounts payable skills to enter vendor invoices correctly

• Maintain customer credit records and process customer credit applications efficiently

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary. Requirements • Possess a strong understanding of Accounts Payable (AP) procedures and principles.

• Proven experience in entering vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner.

• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.

• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

• High attention to detail and accuracy in all work.

• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.

• Previous experience in an Accounts Payable role is desirable.

• Knowledge of general accounting principles and regulatory standards is essential.

• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
