About this role

The SIOP leader will manage the LCML NA SIOP process and provide vision, leadership and direction to optimize our SIOP process. Primary responsibilities include leading a set of monthly decision-making processes to balance demand and supply, to integrate demand planning, financial planning and supply planning, and to link high level strategic plans with day-to-day operations. This role is also responsible for ensuring that all parties are aware of the key business issues, reconciliation and recommendations developed, and kept informed of decisions made throughout the SIOP process

This role will be responsible for North America LCML SIOP process that includes 2 manufacturing sites and revenue of +$1B.

Purpose:

This pivotal role ensures alignment across the Sales, Production, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to deliver customer satisfaction, optimize inventory, and enable financial predictability. The successful candidate will synchronize all the processes and functions, ensuring a unified approach to managing our product supply and demand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business leader and facilitator of the overall SIOP NA LCML process for Carrier. Facilitate regular SIOP meetings and ensure active participation from all relevant stakeholders.

  • Work cross-functionally to ensure that sales, operations, inventory plans are aligned with financial growth objectives.

  • Collaborate with regional marketing and sales teams to establish demand plans that are aligned to revenue plans.

  • Responsible to convert demand plan to a long term supply plan that takes into account capacity and material availability considerations. Oversees global capacity planning; long term supply plans that meet customer requirements while optimizing plant efficiencies and inventory.

  • Work with the Operations team to assess production capabilities and constraints.

  • Identify and mitigate risks in the SIOP process through thorough analysis and proactive planning

  • Ensure that issues and imbalances, which surface during the monthly cycle, are reviewed, resolved, or escalated. Discussions to review, resolve, or escalate issues may occur one on one, in small groups, or in a group meeting prior to the E-SIOP review

  • Responsible for ensuring that key business issues are reconciled, recommendations are proposed and the information pack is analyzed and prepared in order to support effective E-SIOP review

  • Ensure full understanding of the significant financial implications of any changes to the demand, supply, product, and project plans.

  • Manage and optimize inventory levels in alignment with the forecasted demand and supply plans.

  • Develop, implement, and optimize SIOP processes and tools

  • Develop KPIs and regular reporting metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of the SIOP process.

  • Develop forward looking capabilities across a 3-5 year horizon that will ensure Carrier’s demand, capacity and commit capabilities will meet growth’s objectives

Deliverables:

  • Feasibility of the SIOP supply plan

  • Identified Gaps/risks to the committed SIOP plan (family level) and scenarios to resolve

  • Facilitation of monthly regional E-SIOP Reviews

  • Ensures full alignment of Demand/Supply/Financial Plans

  • Customer on-time delivery

  • Days on hand inventory improvement

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 10+ years of experience in Supply Chain (SIOP, Forecasting, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Inventory Planning, Materials Management, Master Planning, Scheduling)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven experience in implementing or leading SIOP processes in a manufacturing environment

  • Advanced business knowledge, general management, and leadership capability to lead business or functional teams.

  • Action oriented, results driven with strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work independently, collaboratively, and effectively manage multiple projects at the same time

  • Demonstrated effective project management skills and experience.

  • Strong business acumen specific to Inventory, Revenue, Units, and Margin.
