Overview

We are looking for an Area Vice President Target Markets - Business Development to join our team. You will be responsible for activities in specific target markets identified as underperforming; troubleshooting all sales/operations procedures and process for the location; evaluating all Business Development resources, productivity, and activity; identify training needs; leading the location growth strategy development and implementation to meet or exceed goals. This role will work cross functionally with corporate leaders across the organization.

Extensive travel required - 75%.

Essential Functions of Position

  • Collaborates with Executive Leadership team to identify markets necessary for target market assessment

  • Directs and participates in core target market operations and business development assessment functions in conjunction with local and upline leadership

  • Analyzes and evaluates the effectiveness of business development, operations productivity and results

  • Assists with collaborative development and implementation of business development strategy for location reboot

  • Assists in research and development of strategies and plans to identify targeted business development opportunities and new account development.

  • Provides support, direction, leadership and accountability for business development leadership and resources to meet productivity expectations and goals

  • Within scope of position, provides leadership and personal accountability to ensure compliance to corporate and regulatory policies, business growth, professional development and integrity

  • Provides support with business development, clinical and operational counterparts to establish and implement short- and long-range goals, objectives, policies and operating standards

  • Aligns strategic plan for the location to meet or exceed budgeted admissions and census, goals for targeted market

  • Coaches and trains business development professionals on effective sales strategies by providing effective sales techniques and strategies through meetings, phone calls and field travel

  • Promotes internal compliance to all human resources policies for recruitment, management, promotions and staff development

Job Specifications:

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 5-10 years business development experience in healthcare service industry required, hospice experience preferred

Training/Equipment:

  • Intermediate Excel skills

  • Basic PowerPoint skills

  • Experience reviewing data in electronic systems

  • Experience with HomeCare-HomeBase preferred
