**[Summary:[ Performs any combination of the following instructional and supervision tasks in the classroom to ensure that children are engaging in a high quality developmentally appropriate activities that support their learning and development.

  • Greets parents and children upon arrival in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Communicates and interacts with children, staff, parents, and the public in a courteous, respectful, and professional manner.
  • Plans and implements lesson plans with developmentally appropriate activities that support development in all learning centers contained within the classroom and on the playground.
  • Maintains appropriate and active supervision of children in their direct care in classroom, throughout the center building and grounds, and on the playground using active supervision techniques and the Child Monitoring System.
  • Participates and engages with children in developmentally appropriate activities.
  • Prepares various teaching modalities to support childrens learning and development.
  • Uses developmentally appropriate techniques to interact with children - individually or in groups - to support learning throughout the day.
  • Serves meals, engages with children during meals, and completes the USDA documentation at point of service daily and at every meal.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic classroom throughout the day by cleaning and sanitizing the classroom environment as needed to prevent potential hazards for children including but not limited to sweeping; disinfecting; cleaning countertop/ eating surfaces; and proper disposal of trash throughout the classroom, restrooms, and playground (all child spaces).
  • Completes and communicates and submits documentation pertaining to concerns/ behavior for children including injury reports, accident reports, illness reports, challenging behavior incident reports, and incident reports immediately within 20 minutes of occurrence to management on site.
  • Lift or carry up 50 pounds in the event of an emergency or as needed during center operations.
  • Willingly participates in and successfully completes assigned professional development.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
