Job Summary:

We are seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to join our team and lead initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize overall performance. This role requires a data-driven professional who applies methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen to identify inefficiencies, solve complex problems, and implement sustainable solutions. You will collaborate across cross-functional teams to foster innovation, drive measurable results, and promote a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Mapping & Flowcharts: Develop comprehensive process maps to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for optimization.

  • Root Cause Analysis & Reports: Conduct structured problem-solving using tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagrams, and FMEA to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.

  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Create and maintain clear, concise documentation of standardized processes, step-by-step procedures, and work instructions.

  • KPI Dashboards & Reports: Develop and maintain KPI dashboards to track the success of continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on metrics like cycle time, first-pass yield, and cost savings.

  • Training & Development: Design training materials, workshops, and e-learning modules to educate employees on Lean tools, Six Sigma methodologies, and quality standards.

  • Project Closure Reporting: Produce detailed final reports summarizing project outcomes, lessons learned, and the impact of improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor"s degree in engineering or combination of education & experience.

  • Proven experience in process improvement, manufacturing, and/or operations roles.

  • Hands-on experience implementing Lean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Proficiency in process mapping tools such as SAP and Visio.

  • Strong data analysis skills with tools like Excel, Minitab, and PowerBI.

  • In-depth knowledge of statistical analysis, root cause analysis, and problem-solving techniques.

  • Due to the nature of the work US Citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with advanced data visualization tools and techniques.

  • Experience in training or mentoring teams on continuous improvement practices.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills.

  • Project Management Certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).

  • Lean Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt or Black Belt).

Belcan provides a competitive pay and benefits package. Salary guidelines for similar roles at Belcan are $35.00-45.00 per hour. Guidelines vary based on many factors including but not limited to education, qualifications, experience, discipline, geographic location, market, and business considerations.
