Job Summary:
We are seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to join our team and lead initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize overall performance. This role requires a data-driven professional who applies methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen to identify inefficiencies, solve complex problems, and implement sustainable solutions. You will collaborate across cross-functional teams to foster innovation, drive measurable results, and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Process Mapping & Flowcharts: Develop comprehensive process maps to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for optimization.
Root Cause Analysis & Reports: Conduct structured problem-solving using tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagrams, and FMEA to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Create and maintain clear, concise documentation of standardized processes, step-by-step procedures, and work instructions.
KPI Dashboards & Reports: Develop and maintain KPI dashboards to track the success of continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on metrics like cycle time, first-pass yield, and cost savings.
Training & Development: Design training materials, workshops, and e-learning modules to educate employees on Lean tools, Six Sigma methodologies, and quality standards.
Project Closure Reporting: Produce detailed final reports summarizing project outcomes, lessons learned, and the impact of improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor"s degree in engineering or combination of education & experience.
Proven experience in process improvement, manufacturing, and/or operations roles.
Hands-on experience implementing Lean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies.
Proficiency in process mapping tools such as SAP and Visio.
Strong data analysis skills with tools like Excel, Minitab, and PowerBI.
In-depth knowledge of statistical analysis, root cause analysis, and problem-solving techniques.
Due to the nature of the work US Citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with advanced data visualization tools and techniques.
Experience in training or mentoring teams on continuous improvement practices.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Project Management Certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
Lean Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt or Black Belt).

Salary guidelines for similar roles at Belcan are $35.00-45.00 per hour.
