Job Description

Responsible for the maintenance of production, testing, and development of on-prem databases

Responsible for database administration of engineering activities and ensures optimal performance within PostgreSQL environments

Responsible for the installation, maintenance, configuration, and integrity of PostgreSQL architecture

Provides support to the application developers, including data refresh, SQL, and PL/PostgreSQL performance tuning

Ensures the long-term requirements of systems operations and administration are included in the overall database systems planning for the organization

Performs database functions including designing, implementing, and maintaining new databases, as well as backup/recovery and configuration management

Skills and Requirements

3+ years of experience as a database administrator for complex and high-volume data warehouse projects

Experience in PostgreSQL, AWS RDS (Relational Database Service), and/or Aurora PostgreSQL

Hands-on experience with Postgres database administration, performance tuning and production support in a high volume, customer-facing apps environment

Data modeling experience

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environment(s) Experience working within Medicare claims or for CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services)

Experience with health IT systems and EDI processing

Experience with 270/271 transactions and/or other X12 data formats null
