Oracle Director of Learning Development in Indianapolis, Indiana

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Learning Development to lead our talented team of federal learning content developers, eLearning developers, and quality control experts. The Director of Learning Development will play a crucial role in creating, implementing, and overseeing innovative federal learning programs that support our diverse range of products and services. This individual will ensure the highest standards of quality and effectiveness in all federal learning content and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of subject matter experts, learning program developers, content developers, eLearning developers, and quality control specialists.

  • Execute a strategic vision for learning and development that aligns with the company's goals and objectives.

  • Oversee the design, development, and delivery of comprehensive learning programs, including online, blended, and instructor-led training.

  • Ensure the quality and consistency of learning content through rigorous quality control processes.

  • Collaborate with product teams to understand learning needs and develop content that effectively addresses those needs.

  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in learning and development, incorporating innovative approaches into our programs.

  • Manage budgets, timelines, and resources for learning initiatives.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the learning team.

To be successful in this role:

  • Expertise in instructional design, eLearning development, and content creation.

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within learning and development, with a strong track record of managing teams and delivering successful learning programs.

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Experience with accessibility standards and guidelines, including WCAG 2.0 to ensure all learning content is inclusive and accessible to all users.

  • Knowledge of current trends and best practices in learning and development.

  • Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and other learning technologies.

  • Passion for continuous learning and professional development

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in learning and development with a bachelor's degree in education, instructional design, learning and development, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

  • Must be U.S. citizen

  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance

  • Willing to travel up to 20% of the time

US: Hiring Range: from $128,900 to $291,900 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

  8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

  10. Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
