Executive Administrative Assistant I - Digital and Corporate Enterprise Legal

Preferred Location(s): Chicago, IL, Atlanta, GA, Indianapolis, IN, Mason, OH, Boston, MA, or Norfolk, VA.

Elevance Health supports a hybrid workplace model (virtual and office) with PulsePoint sites used for collaboration, community, and connection, with the minimum in-office commitment being 2-3 days in the office per week. The ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint locations.

As an Executive Administrative Assistant I at Elevance Health, you will play an integral role in supporting the Vice President for Digital and Corporate Enterprise Legal. We are looking for an organized, detail-oriented individual to provide high-level administrative and organizational support. The successful candidate will have a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to providing a high level of customer service.

How you will make an impact:

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Writes and routes confidential correspondence.

  • Screens, handles, or distributes incoming phone calls and complaints. Maintains confidential correspondence and general files.

  • Orders supplies.

  • Prepares and tracks budgets. Coordinates travel plans.

  • Submits expense reports. Compiles and distributes meeting minutes.

  • Compiles information for reports, documents, and proposals.

  • Collates and assembles materials, makes arrangements for meetings/presentations.

  • Organizes chart up-dates.

  • Prepares forms and reviews documentation for conformance with internal policies and procedures.

  • Utilizes various software packages such as spreadsheet, word processing, data base and graphics to produce high quality reports, presentations, and documents.

  • Researches, verifies, and prepares reports.

  • Creates and maintains databases.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the legal process and related areas of law.

  • Handle confidential information and documents with discretion and professionalism.

  • Manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks with a high degree of accuracy.

  • Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders

  • Monitor progress of projects and alert the Legal Team of any potential issues.

  • Assist with research projects and other tasks as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

Requires a HS diploma and a minimum of 5+ years administrative experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

  • 2+ years of administrative experience in a legal environment

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field

  • In-depth understanding of the legal process

  • Excellent computer skills,

  • Ability to multi-task and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
