Description

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to fill the role of a Sales Assistant in Indianapolis!. The role involves working closely with both customers and carriers, building relationships, and ensuring the smooth delivery of customer loads. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity!

Responsibilities:

• Acquire new customers to expand the client base

• Calculate and provide freight quotes, considering costs, profit margins, and travel times

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with both prospective and existing customers as well as carriers

• Collaborate with Carrier and Customer Relations Coordinators to secure carriers for customer loads

• Monitor progress of load delivery, intervening and resolving any impediments

• Provide regular updates to customers on the progress of pending loads, ensuring quality service

• Act as the primary source for resolving conflicts between clients and carriers

• Use CRM, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suites, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word to maintain accurate records and perform duties

Requirements • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suites including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Word

• Experience with CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems

• Capable of building and maintaining professional relationships

• Previous experience in Inside Sales is a plus

• Comfortable with Cold Calling as part of sales strategies

• Knowledge or experience in Freight Quotes is beneficial

• Demonstrable ability to work collaboratively in a team and also independently

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong organization and time management abilities

• High level of attention to detail

• Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment

• Proven track record in achieving sales targets

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly under pressure
