Overview

Position Summary:

Primarily responsible for managing a team and executing operating objectives and managing daily work activities of Installers to ensure delivery and installation of company-owned, rented, and/or leased laundry and/or air equipment.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure the management of on-time deliveries through proper scheduling of residential, route and/or air equipment sales for the branch.

• Coordinate deliveries with sales, card services and venting department for venting and room renovations.

• Schedule and coordinate warehouse shipping and receiving including, parts and corporate.

• Maintain company software for receipts and transfers.

• Maintain inventory of machines and accessories for deliveries and set-up of equipment.

• Oversee maintenance of warehouse equipment including fork truck, jacks and delivery truck.

• Manage and oversee delivery personnel for proper installation procedures.

• Respond to customer complaints.

• Monitor budgets.

• Coordinate with sales to ensure efficient execution of new installation orders.

• May be required to work in the field assisting and training the install staff.

• Ensure that staff works in a safe manner per government regulation and company safety policies.

• Other duties assigned.

Key Management Responsibilities:

• Recruit, hire, and manage assigned team.

• Delegate duties and assign/schedule work to meet deadlines.

• Support employee development and provide training as needed.

• Establish team and individual employee goals.

• Manage employee performance.

• Authority to terminate or make a termination recommendation.

• Implement, communicate, and maintain Company practices, policies, and procedures with team.

What we’re looking for

Required Education & Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent; and 7-10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

• Associate’s Degree preferred

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and understand general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, financial reports, legal documents, or governmental regulations.

• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

• Proven ability to effectively present information to management and groups of employees.

• Ability to work with a variety of mathematical concepts.

• High-level ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

• High-level ability to interpret a variety of instructions.

• Strong Microsoft Office skills, a high ability to understand specialized technology systems.

• Strong tablet, smart phone and computer skills.

Special Requirements, Licenses, or Certificates :

• Maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

• Ability to obtain a Motor Carrier Medical Examiner’s Certificate.

• Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License.

• Maintain valid forklift certification per local government regulation and company policy, may also be required to hold a forklift trainer certification.

• Efficient record keeping skills.

• Ability to read a map and follow directions.

• Ability to prioritize tasks in a busy warehouse and delivery environment.

• Experience with large power tools.

• Experience installing large appliances.

• Intermediate plumbing and/or electrical knowledge.

• Familiarity with mechanical and electrical functions.

Requirements Specific to Appliance Warehouse :

• Drive a commercial vehicle.

• Must be 21 years of age.

Physical Requirements:

• Specific physical demands may vary based on assigned geography or equipment.

• Must be able to lift up to 35-100 pounds and will frequently work in a variety of environmental conditions (both weather and non-weather related).

• Push and pull hand carts loaded with washers and/or dryers and/or air machines.

• Ability to walk numerous levels of stairs.

• Ability to drive long distances.

• Ability to maneuver in restrictive areas; often squatting, kneeling, crawling and reaching overhead, while lifting, holding and maneuvering tools or service parts weighing from 20-50 lbs.
