This is an exciting opportunity in Indianapolis, IN for an IT Solution Architect Intern.

Summary:

The Solution Architecture team is made up of Architects that individually represent distinct facets of the holistic enterprise architecture. The IT Architect Intern has a particular interest in the manufacturing environment and will gain exposure and experience in the definition and maintenance of the architecture vision, roadmaps and standards needed for strategic evolution of IT systems and products.

Responsibilities:

• Work with Solution Architects to ensure systems realize strategic value by maximizing reliability & availability, performance & scalability, security & compliance, manageability, data quality and effective integration aspects of application design & implementation.

• Assist in the development and maintenance of current-state architecture documentation in accordance with enterprise standards, including reusable architecture design packages and reference architectures.

• Gain experience in the design and evolution of future-state architectures that are both strategic and responsive to the constantly changing needs of the business.

• Work with fellow architects to define an annualized project portfolio of IT transformation projects to address both long-term evolution strategies and near-term critical business needs.

• Gain experience in the production of portfolio project initiation documentation that includes scope definition and high-level success criteria, conceptual architecture, ROM sizing, business case and key design decisions against which solution implementation teams can execute.

• Continually develop as a knowledgeable practitioner in the field of IT Architecture.

• Continually develop as an architect, always aware of relevant industry trends and emerging technologies and continuously evaluating their potential impact on the enterprise.

• Provide hands-on coding and support activities.

  Experience:

• Education Requirement: College undergraduate or graduate status at an accredited college or university, pursuing an academic field of study related to Information Technology, Systems, Industrial or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or other technological fields of study.

• Required Experience:

• Strong oral and written communication skills are required.

• Good interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.

• Analytical ability to solve complex problems.
