Primary Purpose

The PeopleSoft Developer provides technical and functional support to the accounting group for the PeopleSoft financials system. This position works as a member of the PeopleSoft technical support team which includes developers, DBA, system administrator, consultant(s) to ensure the proper and efficient functioning of the system.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Ensures Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.

  • Design, build, test, document, and deploy customizations to the application.

  • Create new and maintain existing batch jobs and integrations with other systems.

  • Create new and maintain existing reports and dashboards.

  • Assist with upgrades, patches, and applying PUM's.

  • Support, maintain, and extend the PeopleSoft financials application.

  • Provide tier 2 troubleshooting support to systems users.

  • Work with accounting team to identify areas for improvement.

  • Research and implement new processes and procedures.

Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant area required. (Science, Math, Computer Science, Information Systems, etc. preferred).

Experience: Minimum 3-5 years' experience with PeopleSoft Financials required. Developer experience with PeopleCode, Application Engine, SQR, and SQL/Oracle required. Technical experience working with the General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Project Cost and Purchasing modules required. Experience with multicurrency processing, Project Costing, Purchasing modules, Understanding of GAAP and basic accounting a plus.

Knowledge and Abilities: Demonstrated technical skills to include systems analysis, design, and development with tools appropriate to the application and technical environment. High level of self-awareness and ability to hold self-accountable for results and high standards. Exceptional customer service focus. Ability to identify and resolve issues independently and as part of a team. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated creative thinking and problem solving. Ability to manage multiple projects and process improvement initiatives. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.
