Program Manager - Energy Efficiency Program Development - Indianapolis, IN

We are actively hiring a Program Manager to help develop, lead, and manage a new Energy Efficiency Program in Indianapolis, IN! This position is open to support the Indiana Office of Energy Development as they kickoff multiple initiatives worth $182 million across the state of Indiana, with the intent to offer local residents upwards of $14,000 each in discounts. These initiatives will start with the Home Efficiency Rebate Program, which will provide whole-home upgrades and retrofits for single-family and multi-family inhabitants, owners, and renters.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a few years of internal Program Management experience to develop an exciting new program with a reputable company that will make a positive impact on local neighbors and residents. This person will be working directly with their team and the Indiana Office of Energy Development to build this first initiative, with the intent to continue supporting additional initiatives as the program continues. This is a long-term opportunity and compensation is negotiable for experienced candidates.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Partner with leadership to develop and expand client relationships including: Program Re-Bids, RFPs, and Client Expansion

  • Develop and manage the production plan for the program to ensure effective execution and to meet program objectives

  • Monitors and manages program budgets to ensure full utilization of funds while meeting or exceeding energy goals

  • Handle reporting and internal/external communications regarding client updates and program progress

  • Ensure the program operates smoothly and meets any and all client requirements

  • Prepare invoices and activity reports as required

Job Requirements:

  • 3+ years of Program Management or Internal Project Management experience with State- or Government-Funded Programs or Projects

  • Experience working with Leadership and Peers to develop Production Plans

  • Experience assisting with Program Re-Bids, RFP's, and Client Expansions

  • Experience with Managing Budgets and Client Relationships

  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment

  • Proficiency within Microsoft Suites

  • Preferred but Not Required - Experience Managing Energy Efficiency Programs

Miscellaneous:

  • This position will sit in-office in Indianapolis, IN, and will work standard Monday-to-Friday 40-Hours work week. Some overtime may occasionally be required.

  • This is a new initiative that will provide this person an exciting opportunity to build something new that will positively impact many members of the local community. The entire goal of this initiative is to help residents save money through more efficient energy usage within their homes.

  • The best candidates will be excited about the challenge of building and managing a new program, and will possess strong interpersonal skills to partner with multiple different stakeholders throughout the process.

  • Target starting pay is $50/hour to $55/hour ($104,000/year to $115,000/year), but pay is negotiable depending on specific candidate experience.
