Robert Half Sr. Internal Auditor in Indianapolis, Indiana

Description

We are in search of a Project Manager specializing in Internal Controls in the energy industry, based in Indianapolis, Indiana. The Project Manager will play a critical role in managing internal audit projects, recommending action plans for deficiencies, and coordinating with various departments to streamline audit processes.

Responsibilities:

• Spearhead the development and implementation of internal audit projects and programs.

• Analyze and track project risks and issues, devising resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals.

• Oversee and manage the execution of integrated audits, ensuring projects are coordinated and handled effectively to minimize disruptions.

• Conduct reviews and validation of test results, recommending action plans to address deficiencies or areas that need improvement.

• Collaborate with different departments to improve internal audit processes and ensure smooth operations.

• Develop and maintain a system for recording and tracking audit results, ensuring appropriate follow-up.

• Provide project-level reports to senior management, detailing project performance, potential issues, and proposed resolutions.

• Utilize skills in SAP and Project Management Process Improvement to enhance operational efficiency.

• Apply knowledge of Control Testing and Internal Control Review to ensure the integrity and efficiency of internal controls.

• Demonstrate strong communication skills to effectively interact with various stakeholders and drive project completion.

Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a project management role, specifically in internal controls.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information and instructions clearly and concisely.

• Proficiency in SAP software and its application in project management and internal control processes.

• Experience in conducting and reviewing internal control procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

• Proven track record in handling and resolving audit findings in a timely and efficient manner.

• Skill in control testing, with the ability to identify weaknesses and implement improvements.

• Demonstrated expertise in project management processes and methodologies, with a focus on process improvement.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.

• Ability to lead and manage a team effectively to achieve project objectives.

• Certification in project management is a plus.

• Availability to work full time and willingness to adjust work schedule based on project demands.
