Actalent Senior Lab Technician in Indianapolis, Indiana

Job Title: Senior Lab TechnicianJob Description

The responsibility of this role is focused within daily maintenance review- this position will not be testing on benches rather than be split 75% reviewing documents- 25% will be checking instruments. The ideal candidate has a level of quality and technical competence that allows for completing work in a highly independent and efficient manner, handling complex technical issues and assists in performing final review of results and preparation of complex test interpretations and reports. • Organizes processes around the customer taking account of difficult and sensitive issues to meet their needs. • Manages customer service expectations, being realistic about the potential outcome-balances customer needs with organizational needs. • Seeks ideas and input from colleagues in own and other teams to make best use of expertise and improve performance. • Shares knowledge, experience, and expertise. • Works to achieve consensus. • Works in partnership with colleagues and other departments to achieve common goals. • Has substantial understanding of the job and applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks. • Accountable for the on-time delivery of own work. • Assists other staff members in understanding the need for on-time delivery of their work and how it affects others. • May be responsible for coaching or mentoring more junior team members but has no direct supervisory responsibility. • May serve as interim Team Lead. • Encounters problems which can be varied and nonroutine. • Requires basic problem-solving techniques to clearly define problems. • Identifies the most appropriate solution to adjust or improve existing approaches. • Solutions often leverage and improve on existing processes, procedures, and/or tools. • Requires objective review of difficult work problems, obtaining cooperation or approval. • Has substantial understanding of the technical scope of the job and applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks. • Tasks or assignments are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations. • Will initiate and resolve issues regarding patient/donor safety and compliance. • Normally receives little instruction on daily work and general instruction on new assignments. • Broad or specialized knowledge of methods, techniques, and processes. This knowledge is typically acquired through specialized training or broad practical work experience.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Work Environment

Working within their lab operations. Would have access to a desk area to review documents.
