DXC Technology Senior Network Engineer - Indianapolis in Indianapolis, Indiana

Essential Job Functions:

• Assist in the management and operation of infrastructure services, providing support to the team.

• Contribute to the implementation of infrastructure requests and projects.

• Work with client and other support teams to understand requirements and then develop network engineering documentation including configurations, instructions for deployment, and supporting network diagrams.

• Help maintain the performance and availability of infrastructure systems while troubleshooting issues.

• Collaborate with other teams to understand their infrastructure requirements and support design and/or implementation.

• Participate in the implementation of Network devices in the infrastructure environment, specifically, but not limited to, routers and switches.

• Assist in the development of infrastructure documentation, including drawings, inventories, and reports.

• Contribute to the optimization of resource allocation for infrastructure tasks and projects.

• Effective communication to provide support and collaborate with team members.

• Work in close partnership with Network team to ensure coverage of network deliverables and handling escalations.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience

• Typically, 6+ years of relevant work experience in industry, with a minimum of 2+ years in a similar role

• Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA)

• Proven experience in Network design, preferably datacentre environment

• Proven experience in hands-on installation of network devices and related cabling.

• Proficiencies in general IT knowledge related to networking.

• A continuous learner that stays abreast with industry knowledge and technology

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Must be a self-starter, excellent organization, excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Must be proficient in using Visio for creating or editing network drawings.

Other Qualifications:

• An advanced degree in a relevant field is a plus

• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) is preferred

• Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, or AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, are a plus

Experience with Cisco Nexus 9000, C9200, and 3850 models is strongly preferred.

Work Setting:

• This position will require hybrid on-site work in Indianapolis, Indiana, which will include at least 3 days of on-site work per week

Compensation at DXC is influenced by an array of factors, including but not limited to the experience, job-related knowledge, skills, competencies, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $65,800 - $122,100.

Full-time hires are eligible to participate in the DXC benefit program.
