The Role at a Glance

As an Sr. DevOps Engineer, you will implement and manage continuous integration and deployment solutions for applications across various technical platforms. You will work collaboratively with delivery teams and software engineers to implement enterprise DevOps solutions, enable best practices, help automate and streamline operations and processes, and troubleshoot issues within various environments. In addition, you will work with DevOps methodologies, specifically around Continuous Integration and Continuous Testing using Git, Artifactory, Selenium, deploy tools, SonarQube, Fortify, and Jmeter; as well as with Docker container and orchestration tools like Kubernetes. Will be mainly working on technology enablement for the Op Model and troubleshooting end-user issues

What you'll be doing

  • Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility, assesses the impact, and collaborates with senior management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.

  • Directs and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility.

  • Identifies and directs the implementation of process improvements that significantly improve quality across the team, department and/or business unit for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.

  • Provides subject matter expertise to team members and applicable internal/external stakeholders on complex assignments/projects for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.

  • Provides direction on complex assignments, projects, and/or initiatives to build and enhance the capability of their assigned area(s) of responsibility.

  • Serves as a subject matter expert and/or provides direction on the design and development of automation builds, deployments, and environment build outs.

  • Creates scalable enterprise pipeline that can be reused across application teams that enables Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD).

  • Develops and leverages tools in support of infrastructure development (Infrastructure as Code), software development and delivery (CI/CD) and automation to improve IT services.

  • Serves as lead technical resource to ensure completion of development tasks.

  • Acts as an advocate for continuous improvement and delivery to improve business processes.

  • Applies knowledge of technology and operational best practices to drive the design, development and implementation of operational standards and capabilities.

  • Proactively identifies problems and develops complex solutions.

  • Acts as product owner for assigned area of DevOps stack.

  • Communicates effectively with internal stakeholders and management.

  • Demonstrates best practices in information architecture, design, performance and scalability, quality assurance, and strong knowledge of usability principles and techniques.

What we’re looking for

  • DevOps methodologies, specifically around Continuous Integration and Continuous Testing using Git, Jenkins, Artifactory, Selenium, deploy tools, SonarQube, Fortify, and Jmeter.

  • Working with AWS and Docker apps

  • Selenium and Yaml scripting (Bash, Perl, and Python scripting experience is a plus)

  • Implementing, managing, and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines and tools

  • Technical enablement, guidance, and mentorship of IT end-users

  • Provide requirements to process and tool improvements.

  • Give technical guidance and educate team members and coworkers on development and operations

  • Brainstorm for new ideas and ways to improve software delivery

  • Documenting and design various processes; update existing processes

The pay range for this position is $90,300 - $164,700 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
