Employee will work 3, 12 hour shifts per week. Employee will work 2 weekends in a 6 week scheduling period Friday night/Saturday night.

Make a Difference

The Senior Patient Care Technician works under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Performs direct patient care such as bathing, assisting with elimination, bed making, and vital signs. Transports patients and patient-related materials in a safe, timely, and professional manner. Greets and orients patients to the patient care area. Performs meal service and feeding assistance functions. Provides additional select care to patients. Collaborates with other team members to perform other services as directed.

Exceptional Skills and Qualifications

  • Applicants for this position should be able to collaborate with others in a team setting, have excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude toward problem-solving.

  • High School diploma or GED required

  • Ability to use a computer for documentation and work related purposes

  • Strong written, verbal and nonverbal interpersonal and professional communication skills are required.

  • Demonstrates accountability for own actions

  • Provides service in a willing and courteous manner

  • Demonstrates ability to prioritize, organize and multi-task.

  • Able to take direction well, but also be self-directed and motivated.

  • Requires a high degree of responsibility and responsiveness.

  • Deal effectively with patients, visitors, situations, and other Care Team members, while maintaining emotional control

Additional requirements

  • Must be able to lift

  • Must be available for one week of full-time training

  • Three (3) months of Clinical Experience or CNA license required OR currently enrolled in Nursing school
