Summary

Producer Ag is a joint venture between MKC and CHS that taps into an extensive network of assets to support a global supply chain. The joint venture exists to improve market access for farmer-owners, area cooperatives, processors, and end users through participation in the southern corridor grain supply chain and creates an integrated supply chain with export access to the Gulf.

Producer Ag has an exciting opportunity in our Information Technology group. We are looking for an expert-level Business Systems Analyst to represent the business in the various IT Projects/Products driving IT-related business goals realization. You must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, be detail oriented, able to work in a team environment and independently, and have the ability to solve complex problems.

To be considered for this position, qualified candidates must be currently located in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area or located in the McPherson/Wichita, KS surrounding area to work a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Understand industry issues and trends, and present technical solutions that provide value to our business partners.

  • Analyze business strategy and user needs, document specifications, and translate business objectives into proper system requirement specifications.

  • Guide business customers through business case development for new applications/functionality, including cost / benefit analysis and risk / impact analysis.

  • Deliver value through realization of benefits, avoidance of cost, identify new opportunities and modernizing the organization.

  • Proactively maintain an understanding of the business processes.

  • Focus on continuous improvement for both the business process and the underlying technologies and system support.

  • Gather requirements into user stories to engage with teams for development, QA and implementation.

  • Coordinate system development, QA and user acceptance testing of projects.

  • Support, test, and enhance moderately complex information systems and develop adequate error management functionality within assigned applications.

  • Provide new user training on supported applications as requested.

  • Provide overall application support and ownership for the applications in the business portfolio.

  • Provide end-to-end IT coordination for all IT related activities.

  • Support activities for assigned applications and assure secondary resources are defined and are well trained to support the application.

  • Minimize application support load by refining error management and moving initial triage to the 1st level support staff.

  • Work closely with all IT organizations and drive projects to successful completion.

  • Work closely with other Business Units to identify and deliver Enterprise value.

  • Ensure any IT deliverable is in alignment with business values and meeting business expectations.

  • Help to determine IT backlog items prioritization for projects/ products being aligned with business stakeholders based on business goals, and values.

  • Perform other responsibilities as needed or assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (required)

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology Management, or related field (or equivalent years of experience, education and training)

  • 7+ years of experience in Information Technology and/or IT Business Systems Analysis to include:

  • Requirements definition

  • Business process definition

  • Strong documentation

  • Development and support of integrated business applications

  • Implementation and support of applications

  • End-to-end IT coordination and support experience

Additional Qualifications

  • Participation in and leading the design, development, and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems, or products

  • Basic knowledge of systems programming and associated activities

  • Practical knowledge and experience in importing data for use in report software, spreadsheets, graphs, and flow charts

  • Experience in the operation and analysis of data

  • Ability to envision system needs from business user interactions

  • Understanding of the organization's goals and objectives and how technology solutions impact the organization

CHS offers a competitive total rewards package. Compensation includes base wage and, depending upon position, may include other earnings such as bonus, incentives and commissions. Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications.
