Insight Global Calibration Technician in Ipswich, Massachusetts

Job Description

A Top Life Sciences Supplier is looking for an Asset Calibration Technician to join their Facilities and Engineering team in the Ipswich, MA area. This role will be managing service schedules around Lab Instrumentation and equipment used in the development and production of reagents used for key research. This client is committed to consistently developing innovative products, becoming a recognized world leader in enzyme production, providing the largest selection of recombinant and native enzymes for genomic research while continuing to expand their product portfolio. This role will be joining a team that prides themselves on employee well-being, environmental stewardship and humanitarian efforts. Daily responsibilities include some hands on calibration on a variety of instrumentation including Incubators, Balances/Scales, Temp/Pressure etc. as well as vendor management including managing contracts and planning for instrumentation service with both external providers and internal stakeholders to ensure equipment is serviced on time and per quality requirements. The ideal candidate for this role should have 1+ years of experience with calibration on a variety of instrumentation as well as planning and scheduling service of instrumentation with end users and external vendors. This role will be responsible for maintaining the equipment database and should have previous experience utilizing an asset or maintenance management software to plan, schedule and update work orders. This client is highly motivated to find the resource to support their organization long term with interview availability as early as next week and a potential to start two weeks upon receiving an offer.

The compensation for this role ranges between 50 and 60/HR depending on skillset, experience, and education. This role also requires travel between sites but all local to MA, requiring no longer than a 15 minute commute!

Skills and Requirements

3+ years of experience as a calibration technician or relevant position

Experience working with GMP facilities

Experience with Medical device ISO standards

Understanding of general metrology test equipment

Knowledge and use of CMMS Pharmaceutical Experience null
