Job Description

Title: Project Manager (possibly Senior Project Manager or Project Director)

Location: Ironton Project (St. Louis, MO)

Reports to: Manufacturing Director

Project Manager develops and oversees capital and process-related projects in accordance with organizational strategy and objectives. Provides overall strategic direction for project by overseeing the development of the scope, standards, processes, and tools used for effective project delivery and develops and administers project budgets, policies, and procedures to maximize investment and benefit.

  • Monitors and analyzes progress and metrics to identify weaknesses, improvements, and potential cost savings for project.

  • Identifies and evaluates risks; and works toward corrective measures to mitigate the impediment of project delivery.

  • Responsible for overseeing, planning, and directing all aspects of capital spending and project management.

  • Ensures business cases are complete and well understood amongst the team members and supports the strategic rationale and customer needs.

  • Ensures resource availability and documentation of strategic rationale, while focusing on business requirements.

  • Creates and maintains a master project schedule and spending inclusive of project.

  • Drives post-completion review sessions, evaluating what worked well and areas for improvement with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure that we are constantly learning and socializing key learnings with the wider org.

Required Qualifications

Education: BS/BA Degree in Engineering or related field required.

Experience: 10 to 15 years of experience in project management, leadership, and vendor management.

Knowledge: Manufacturing excellence tools and principles, project management processes and best practices in project documentation required.

Preferred Qualifications

Certifications: PMP certification strongly preferred.

Skills: Excellent communication skills and attention to detail. Excellent organizational and motivational skills.

Abilities: Ability to work and communicate well with employees at all levels of the organization.
