Vertiv Corporation Production Quality Engineer in Ironton, Ohio

Vertiv is hiring a Production Quality Engineer in Ironton, OH to provide FMEAs and Control Plans, drives Continuous Improvement, performs audits, ensures performance to workmanship standards. Investigates and leads Corrective Actions. Hands on problem solving. RESPONSIBILITIES * Maintain an interactive plant quality relationship focused on effective transition of product releases to a manufacturing quality support role. * Facilitate creation of control plans, process flows and Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis (PFMEA) specific to new product development. * Audit product manufacturing processes to Vertiv plant control plans. * Lead project teams in the use of Six Sigma tools such as QFD, FMEA, DOE's. * Perform process capability evaluations on Vertiv products. * Interface closely with Engineering, Service, Manufacturing and Product Management to understand and improve product and service quality. * Investigate and resolve QA projects, as assigned. * Ensure communication and interaction with Supplier Quality to ensure supplier performance does not impede new product performance. * Initiate regular meetings with Manufacturing and Quality personnel to ensure activities are aligned to meet the new product quality plans. * Participate in Field feedback meetings to ensure understanding of field issues and progress is being made on service call rates and warranty costs. * Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: Reports to facility Quality Manager QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Job Qualifications: * 2+ years' experience Preferred Qualifications: * Working knowledge of Quality Engineering skill sets such as QFD, DOE, FMEA, GRR, Process Capability studies, and Control Plans. * Lead Auditor certification for IS0 9001 * Strong, persuasive communication skills * Strong leadership skills * Excellent analytical and writing skills * Excellent time management and organizational skills * Knowledge of applicable manufacturing processes both externally and internally * Ability to get things done and handle multiple projects EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS * Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS * N/A TIME TRAVEL REQUIRED * 10% The successful candidate will embrace Vertiv's Core Principals & Behaviors to help execute our Strategic Priorities.
