Robert Half Accounting Supervisor in Irvine, California

Description We are in search of an Accounting Supervisor to join our team based in Irvine, California. This role is vital to our operations, focusing on overseeing daily transactions, participating in audits, preparing budgets and financial plans, and ensuring the accuracy of financial statements. The Accounting Supervisor will also play a crucial role in managing the accounting team and providing regular updates to the management regarding company finances.

Responsibilities:

• Overseeing daily transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.

• Participating in year-end, bank, and tax audits, ensuring all processes are compliant with generally accepted accounting practices.

• Coordinating and assisting in the creation of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.

• Performing reconciliations of general ledger accounts to maintain accuracy.

• Ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of month-end close, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

• Analyzing financial statements for accuracy, identifying potential cash flow problems and financial irregularities.

• Reviewing and analyzing financial data, identifying trends, variances, and areas of improvement.

• Conducting regular performance evaluations of the accounting team, providing training, coaching, and development opportunities when needed.

• Providing regular updates to management regarding company finances.

• Developing and implementing financial controls and procedures to maintain the integrity of financial records and ensure compliance with accounting regulations. Requirements • Proficient in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services

• Familiarity with BlackLine and Concur software

• Knowledge in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Ability to manage Accounting Functions

• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proficient in Auditing procedures

• Ability to manage Billing Functions

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

• Proven supervisory experience in an accounting role

• Strong communication and leadership skills

• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Knowledge of applicable accounting and financial regulations

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
