Description We are in the search for a Cost Accounting Manager to join our team based in Irvine, California. In this role, you will be involved in various aspects of cost accounting, inventory management, and budgeting processes. This role is essential to our operations, ensuring accurate cost allocation and reporting, contributing to our financial stability and growth.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, analyze, and report on cost accounting data, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for cost control.

• Prepare periodic cost reports, including variance analysis and cost forecasting.

• Establish and maintain cost standards for materials, labor, and overhead, ensuring alignment with company goals.

• Collaborate with budgeting teams to develop comprehensive and accurate budgets.

• Implement and oversee cost allocation methods to ensure precise product costing and expense tracking.

• Oversee inventory valuation and cost accounting related to inventory, including monitoring inventory levels and conducting periodic physical counts.

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance cost accounting efficiency and accuracy.

• Work closely with production, R& D, and finance teams to understand cost drivers and provide insights that support operational and strategic decisions.

• Manage and mentor a team of cost accountants, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements, participating in audits and assisting in the preparation of financial statements and reports.

• Utilize accounting software systems and ERP for effective management of accounting functions. Requirements • Proficiency in accounting software systems

• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services

• Experience with Crystal Reports

• Proficiency in Epicor

• Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Ability to handle all accounting functions

• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP)

• Proficient in auditing

• Experience in managing budget processes

• Expertise in cost accounting

• Familiarity with SAP
