Senior Electrical Engineer: In-Flight Entertainment and Communication Systems

Position Overview: We are seeking a Electrical Engineer to lead the development of new IFEC products. This role involves board-level design, testing, and documentation of innovative electronic systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electronic circuits and PCB assemblies.

  • Utilize knowledge of high-speed interfaces such as PCIe, Ethernet, eDP, USB, and DDR4.

  • Design DC-DC converters.

  • Emphasize digital design and analysis.

  • Perform qualitative and quantitative tests to determine properties, characteristics, and performance of materials, circuits, mechanisms, assemblies, and systems.

  • Analyze test data and develop electronic circuits and board assemblies.

  • Select hardware and materials to ensure compliance with specifications and product requirements.

  • Verify embedded firmware and higher-level software functionality.

  • Apply problem-solving methods to ensure compliance with all product requirements.

  • Design against requirements from specifications, oral instructions, or preliminary sketches.

  • Lead the analysis and design of electronic circuits and implement test methods and procedures.

  • Prepare technical reports and documentation.

  • Resolve a wide range of design challenges.

Qualifications:

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent (MS in Electrical Engineering preferred).

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in higher mathematics, electronics, and circuit design.

  • Hands-on experience with digital or analog simulators.

  • At least 3 years of experience with:

  • Microprocessor-based designs.

  • High-speed interfaces (e.g., Ethernet, PCIe, DDR4).

  • Power conversion (DC-DC converters).

Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proven ability to prepare technical reports and documentation.

  • Ability to lead and collaborate effectively within a team.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $58.00
