MetLife Group Benefits Sales Intern in Irvine, California

Job Location: Boston, (MA), Chicago, (IL), Irvine, (CA), Overland Park, (KS), McLean, (VA), Nashville, (TN) & New York, (NY).

This is Your Opportunity To:

  • Assist business units by performing various assigned duties that are intended to provide experience and build sales skills for future development

  • Develop personally and professionally with a customized intern curriculum

  • Build a network of peers and mentors in a business-to-business sales environment

  • Gain exposure to products and services within Group Benefits

  • Participate in social activities and networking events

  • Interview for a sales trainee position upon completion of the program

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete weekly curriculum training

  • Collaborate on an intern-lead Capstone Project

  • Participate in customer meetings

  • Learn functions and uses of technology to support the salesforce and business

  • Present Capstone project to an audience of peers, managers and senior leadership

  • Perform duties supporting the sales organization as assigned or required

Required Qualifications

  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Strong computer skills (especially Microsoft Excel)

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, communications skills and leadership qualities

  • Motivated team player with sound judgment and problem-solving skills

  • Proven ability to lead and influence

  • Must be eligible to work in US without sponsorship

  • High school diploma

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program with an accredited college or university. Preferably a rising senior
