Katmai On Site Supervisor in IRVINE, California

SUMMARY

Responsible for day-to-day site facility operations in accordance with contract and corporate requirements. Oversees a functional area within the organization. Familiar with a variety of organizational concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Acts as a liaison with government and military staff as necessary, to promote contract operational efficiency.

  • Responds to client-identified performance concerns.

  • Reports all operational, administrative, and logistics issues to the Program Manager as appropriate.

  • Ensure scope of work is performed on time, meets quality standards, and is within contract budget parameters.

  • Plans and prioritizes corrective actions on discrepancies noted by Client or company QA inspection.

  • Survey a minimum of contractual range site per week to ensure corrective and preventative maintenance are addressed accordingly.

  • Maintains regular and punctual attendance.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervises and mentors all site personnel.

Job Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of five (5) years management experience in directing operation and maintenance of equipment in a supervisory capacity.

  • Demonstrated experience working closely with Senior Military personnel, Government employees and other Contactors.

  • Capable of establishing mission-oriented teams and training device/equipment packages in short notice.

  • Confidential data and information management experience required.

  • Must possess the skills necessary to be designated as the Site Manager in writing by the Company to the Procuring Contracting Officer (PCO) and Contracting Officer's Representative (COR).

  • Must obtain and maintain any necessary security access and/or background checks.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Expert level knowledge of Microsoft Office 7 (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook) Adobe and other media type software.

  • Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures with a particular field.

  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is required.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision, be exceedingly well organized, flexible.

  • Proven experience in successfully managing projects and personnel.

  • Strong familiarity with government regulations and directives pertaining to confidentiality, document retention, and project site protocols.

  • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented

  • Ability to multi-task.

  • Demonstrated ability to perform diverse duties under operating and deadline constraints.

  • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; monitors own work to ensure quality.

WORK SCHEDULE

Full-time. May be required to work additional hours as needed to complete assignment or project.

TRAVEL

Potential for travel. When required, employee will need to complete an MVR check.

DRIVING REQUIREMENTS

Must have or be able to attain a valid state driver’s license and be insurable on the company’s automobile insurance policy. Driving, with or without accommodation, may be required when traveling for training and/or short occasional amounts of local driving. The expected driving time is less than 10%.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS PACKAGE

  • Pay is: $75,000 to $85,000 per year.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is primarily performed in an office setting but may also be performed in a maintenance facility as well as outdoors in military training areas. Work is often performed outdoors, in adverse conditions including inclement weather such as high humidity, heat, cold, high wind, rain, and various local conditions. Our mission is to train US Marines; therefore, we work side by side with them in all climates and conditions. Employee may be exposed to sharp objects and may be exposed to some heat, loud noise, chemicals, lead, and vibration. Katmai strictly adheres to the Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHA) regulations. Use of personal protective equipment is mandatory if applicable. Employee will be exposed to a wide variety of people in differing functions, personalities, and abilities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Position consists of sitting for long periods of time, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and lifting boxes weighing up to 50 pounds. Frequently uses hands/fingers for handling, to work with such hand tools as wrenches, screwdrivers, wire cutters, pliers, and soldering irons.
