Position Summary

The Senior Manager will develop strategic marketing plans, executing their successful implementation and growing the long-term sales, profit, and market share position for assigned products. This position will lead cross-functional plans aiming to manage ongoing business. The candidate will have a key role in influencing regional Marketing and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Obtaining a clear understanding of professional and market trends in order to leverage “voice of the customer” and develop upstream marketing strategies,

  • Creating plans to address market needs and drive sustained growth of assigned brands.

  • Working closely with direct supervisor and regional marketing groups, outside agencies, third party partners, and internal functions (e.g., key opinion leaders, market research, media, relationship marketing etc.).

  • Actively manage promotional budgets and third-party vendors.

  • Develop go-to-market strategy for designated segment responsibilities.

  • Lead and execute comprehensive segment specific marketing/development plan.

  • Integrate customer knowledge and market data into the Upstream Marketing and Business Development, when appropriate.

  • Actively plan and modify as needed strategic planning process for respective product / segment responsibilities.

  • Execute strategic and tactical initiatives relating to assigned products and/or channel segment(s) to include, but not limited to, the following:

  • Promotions – Initiate and execute channel promotional plans, set calendar of promotional events, and conduct pre- and post-promotion analysis.

  • Tradeshows and Meetings – Attend and support sales meetings and relevant global tradeshows. Initiate, develop, and manage joint business planning and marketing plans.

  • Training– Organize and deliver product training to educate, motivate and activate regional sales representatives and partners.

  • Sales Collateral / Education – Working closely with Marketing Communications and Education develop compelling core marketing collateral materials and on-going education initiatives and assessments.

  • The Senior Marketing Managers primary interfaces are R&D, Finance, Clinical, Supply Chain, and Regional Marketing & Sales within the 4 Regions. This position will work cross functionally across many other departments.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a BA/BS degree is required. Master's degree in business is preferred.

  • Minimum of 8 years health care experience with 3 years marketing is required.

  • Must exhibit proficiency in the following competencies: adaptability, teamwork, initiative, innovation, integrity, analytical, leadership, strategic thinking, communication.

  • Proven success in product management is preferred.

  • Medical Device, Capital Equipment and/or Ophthalmology experience is preferred.

  • Due to the global nature of this position, up to 25% international travel is required.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $118,000 to $203,550.

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.

Employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:

  • Vacation – up to 120 hours per calendar year.

  • Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington – up to 56 hours per calendar year.

  • Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – up to 13 days per calendar year.

  • Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year.
