Robert Half Workday Project Manager in Irvine, California

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Workday Project Manager to serve as a key advocate and leader in the successful implementation of Workday’s Time Attendance and Scheduling modules. This role requires close collaboration with both external system implementors and internal stakeholders to ensure that the solutions are customized to fit our global operations, particularly within our warehouse environments. The ideal candidate will bring strong project management expertise and a deep understanding of timekeeping and scheduling needs within a pack-and-ship environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Oversight:

  • Serve as the internal project lead for the implementation of Workday’s Time Attendance and Scheduling modules.

  • Contribute to the overall project plan, including defining scope, timelines, and resource allocation.

  • Coordinate with external system implementors to ensure alignment with project goals and requirements.

Collaboration & Coordination:

  • Act as the primary liaison between the company and system implementors, facilitating clear communication and effective collaboration.

  • Lead meetings and workshops with implementors, internal stakeholders, and subject matter experts to gather requirements and resolve issues.

  • Manage and track project progress, addressing any deviations from the plan and ensuring timely resolution of issues.

Configuration & Customization:

  • Oversee the configuration and customization of Workday modules to fit organizational needs, particularly in relation to global warehouse operations.

  • Ensure seamless integration with existing systems, such as payroll and HR systems.

  • Collaborate with implementors to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise.

Training & Change Management:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive training plan for end-users, managers, and HR staff to ensure effective knowledge transfer and system adoption.

  • Support change management efforts to facilitate smooth transitions and promote user acceptance.

  • Ensure the creation of detailed documentation for system processes, configurations, and user guides.

Quality Assurance & Compliance:

  • Ensure that the implementation complies with all relevant regulations, company policies, and industry standards.

  • Coordinate end-user testing to validate system performance and accuracy.

  • Stay informed about Workday updates and best practices to ensure optimal system use and continuous improvement.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Human Resources, or a related field.

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience managing global Workday projects, specifically with Time Attendance and Scheduling modules.

  • Experience working with external system implementors and managing global implementations.

  • Strong understanding of timekeeping and scheduling requirements in pack-and-ship warehouse environments.

  • Proven ability to manage complex projects, coordinate across multiple teams, and deliver results on time and within budget.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

  • Knowledge of global compliance and labor laws is a plus.
