Job Summary

Assists the licensed Physical Therapy staff by performing delegated treatments with patients. Serves as call back person when the department is closed. Assists in maintaining the department and equipment through cleaning, checking level of supplies, and checking for maintenance needs.

Job Function:

A. Assists the licensed staff in performing patient treatment procedures.

B. Communicates changes in patient tolerance to treatment to licensed staff.

C. Documents treatment related information accurately and timely.

D. Accurately marks charges to ensure appropriate billing.

E. Maintains equipment and work area for minimal interruption in patient care. F. Serves as call back personnel for hour department is closed.

Required:

High School Diploma

BLS

Possess the knowledge and clinical skills necessary to provide PT technician care to people with physical disability and chronic illness.

Maintains competency as demonstrated by yearly competency evaluation.
