The Job

Hartwig Inc. is seeking an ambitious, conscientious, and energetic individual to join our growing inside sales department as an Additive Manufacturing Sales Development Representative. We are one of the leading distributors of CNC machine tools in North America and have been in business for over 60 years. This is a perfect opportunity for someone who has at least 2 years of experience in an industrial/manufacturing inside sales role and wants to enter the world of sales at Hartwig.This full-time position is based in our Dallas office (not a remote position) and will entail these activities:

What you will do:

  • Use phone calls and emails to follow up on incoming leads while using a targeted approach to uncover and qualify new opportunities for additive manufacturing products
  • Research and pre-qualify prospective clients using web/social media, internal databases, and external tools
  • Take a "solution-selling" approach to active opportunities ensuring that the additive products are properly positioned to address customer/prospect needs and win opportunities
  • Utilize company resources and existing customer references to build rapport, credibility, and trust so your relationships advance prospects along through the sales cycle
  • Identify key decision makers and update the list of contacts on a consistent basis in CRM
  • Maintain accurate account activity, new opportunity information, and detailed notes in CRM
  • Provide ongoing lead development and nurturing strategies for prospects that are not currently ready to purchase
  • Work collaboratively with the Additive Sales Engineer, marketing team, and all internal operations to build strong sales funnel for achieving sales goals
  • Regularly train on basics of cold calling, emailing, and approaches to quickly and confidently establish rapport
  • Embrace the fundamentals of listening and uncovering potential opportunities for Hartwig to provide value to prospects
  • Assist with open house and sales blitz activities and drive attendance through targeted campaigns
  • Deliver on Key Performance Indicators (critical metrics-KPI's) on established timelines to get results
  • Collaborate and communicate regularly with Marketing Manager for an understanding of current initiatives and trends

What you will bring:

  • BS/BA College Degree required
  • 2+ years in an outbound call environment preferred
  • 2+ years in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment highly preferred
  • Highly developed drive to achieve and exceed personal and company goals
  • Passion for personal and professional growth; accepting of mentoring and other opportunities to develop
