Citigroup Applications Development Technical Lead Analyst in Irving, Texas

Citibank, N.A. seeks an Applications Development Technical Lead Analyst for its Irving, TX location.

Duties: Develop technical solutions for the Citi Risk Control Audit 360 platform. Conduct requirement analysis and develop solutions for all application tiers including user interface, middle tier business components and database layer. Create design documents, translate business requirements into system requirements and recommend solutions to business and technical teams. Utilize knowledge of application development to analyze complex problems/issues, provide evaluation of business processes, system processes, and implement technical solutions using programming in Java and other technologies. Plan, schedule, and control movement of releases to test and live environments. Coordinate deployment in all environments, perform smoke testing and inform stakeholders of deployment status. Develop test plans and test cases for all logically isolated components of Citi risk control and improve quality of deliverables. Ensure that application and upgrades required by business are delivered by maintaining the integrity of the existing production environment. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, and six (6) years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Six (6) years of experience must include: Systems analysis, design, development, integration, deployment, and maintenance of IT systems in Java, Oracle databases, ETL, Unix, Scheduled Jobs, and JIRA; Managing and implementing IT projects; Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process including performing detailed analysis, collecting requirements, coding and unit testing, integration, and system testing; Data modeling and creation of conceptual models; Development of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) procedures that interconnect upstream systems with a centralized database to process, transform and re-distribute collected data to downstream systems via SFTP, NDM or other secure system communication using flat text file formats or CSV format; Creation and review of scheduled jobs (Autosys / DBMS) for recurrent and programmed data processing tasks and troubleshooting to ensure correct and complete continuous production system function; Tuning database SQL queries by SQL re-writing and improving execution plans by use and creation of appropriate indexes, joins and caching; Design and testing of database plans using SQL scripts to ensure expected results without affecting the function of the existing system by using SIT (System Integration Testing) and UAT (User Acceptance Testing) testing before releasing changes to production environments; Usage of Unix shell scripts that assist in data flow execution processes using Red Hat 7 Linux distribution or greater; and Documenting development efforts with issue/bug/code tracking using Atlassian JIRA. 40 hrs./wk.
