On The Border Catering Sales Associate in Irving, Texas

Compensation: $17-$18

Compensation starts at $17/hr

Job Summary: This position will have the primary responsibility of booking catering orders via telephone and online. This individual will also play an integral role in building sales for the department.

Directly Reports to: Catering Manager of On The Border Call Center

Job Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, book, and process all delivery and basic catering orders, ensuring complete guest satisfaction.

  • Accept and record all inquiries from guests.

  • Create and send all follow-up correspondence.

  • Complete event confirmations as needed.

  • Report all guest complaints to direct supervisor.

  • Complete any guest recovery or correction action authorized by direct supervisor. Examples are tardiness and omitted items. If needed seeks input from Senior Sales Associate.

  • Conduct daily follow-up calls with their bookings to ensure guest satisfaction and report all opportunities to direct supervisor.

  • Complete and distribute all comment cards as needed by email, fax, or postal.

  • Actively pursue new accounts and leverage existing ones to grow sales.

  • Manage weekly contact log and actively pursue catering events.

  • Solicit all reoccurring clients for additional catering events

  • Attend assigned events as needed.

  • Complete all other duties and/or projects as assigned.

  • Daily same-day verification with the unit.

Qualifications / Criteria

  • Remote position – ability to work from home – internet access.

  • Catering experience preferred.

  • Sales experience preferred.

  • Restaurant experience required.

  • High school diploma required; some college experience preferred.

  • Working knowledge of all Microsoft-based programs including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
