Job Description

Job Summary

The Director of Specialized Services is responsible for day-to-day strategies and performance of specialized accounts that are assigned to the Specialized Services Departments. The director will be responsibilities for leading, directing, and improving the Specialized Services processes as well as the overall process oversight of its functions and people. specialized. The Director of Specialized Services overseas and is responsible for multiple areas such as Bankruptcy, Impound, SCRA, Total Loss, Insurance Repair, Gap, Deceased and Cease and Desist work groups.

Job Duties

Provides and documents performance feedback through side-by-side coaching, performance reviews, mentoring, goal setting and deficiency management. Coaching and developing Specialized Services managers through regular meetings and one-on-one sessions.

Develop and manage Specialized Services strategies to drive efficiency and increase profitability for Exeter Finance. Analyze data and provide analytical feedback to the appropriate workgroup(s) on recommended changes that impact/streamlines the Specialized Services workgroup.

Daily/Monthly audit and exception reporting.

Develop and update policy and procedures for the Specialized Services departments.

Ensures compliance with Exeter’s policies & procedures, safety, state and federal process regulations and standards.

Appropriately addresses human resources issues, such as attendance and interpersonal conflicts in the workplace.

Participates in the interviewing of staff and makes hiring recommendations. Determine departmental staffing for each month.

Other duties as assigned.

Education and Work Experience

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

Eight (8) years direct job-related experience, to include a minimum of three (3) years management experience.

Previous experience in the auto industry preferred.

Extensive experience interfacing with all levels of peers/coworkers.

Knowledge of state and federal regulatory compliances.

Strong hands-on experience developing, aligning and implementing strategies with objectives and functions.

Excellent leadership skills in directing a team with measurable performance.

Strong communication skills, including developing and delivering presentations to senior management.

Proven leader with a strong track record of success as a business partner, mentor, manager and team builder.

Superior problem solving, analytical, process improvement, project management, communication and presentation skills.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word
