Heidelberg Materials US, Inc. Senior Accounting Manager in Irving, Texas

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Oversee financial and operational transaction processing, ensuring accurate and timely closing of financial systems, and managing monthly balance sheet reconciliation and controls monitoring.

  • Manage inventory valuation adjustments, annual physical inventory flyover adjustments, and reserves.

  • Coordinate internal and external audit support for interim and year-end audits

  • Prepare and distribute reports, providing analysis and support as needed, and serve as the key finance partner with operations to driver operational excellence and continuous improvements

  • Manage and develop a team of accounting professionals, collaborate with other functional areas on special projects, and deliver results in a fast-paced, high-performance culture

  • Identify process improvement opportunities for the Shared Service Organization and provide technical accounting advice

  • Responsible for due diligence and integration of acquired entities through merger and acquisitions for area of responsibility

What Are We Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance

  • Strong understanding of GAAP and IFRS

  • In-depth knowledge of large enterprise ERP systems such as SAP, JDE, and Oracle

  • Experience with reporting systems such as Essbase, HFM, Cognos, SAP BW, or similar

  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team, to meet deadlines, and work collaboratively

  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Strong project management skills and exceptional problem-solving abilities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
