Description Robert Half currently has a long-term contract / temporary opportunity for an experienced Senior Accountant to join their dynamic, innovative team. Working as a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for account analysis and reconciliations, financial statement preparation and consolidation, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. This Senior Accountant opportunity is located in the Irving, Texas area and will offer a great you a great professional experience along with attractive compensation. Responsibilities

  • Other projects as required

  • Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations

  • Constantly improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

  • Take part in various department-wide initiatives

  • Organize quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors

  • Put together monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting

  • Implement monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP

  • Analyze financial results (benchmarks, trends, performance metrics)

  • Achieve compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures and controls by working with business partners Requirements - Exemplary analytical, quantitative and social skills

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills

  • BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are highly desired

  • A strong track record of communicating, both verbally and in writing, with functional department managers

  • Substantial knowledge in financial reporting

  • Knowledgeable of ERP systems

  • Highly capable of analyzing financial data and quickly creating accurate reports

  • Experience in SOX control execution/documentation

  • Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges

  • Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity

  • Familiarity with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required

  • Adeptness in Balance Sheet Account

  • Background working with Ledger Account Reconciliation

  • Good understanding of Excel Formulas

  • Microsoft Excel experience highly valued

  • Balance sheets experience

  • Balance Sheet Reconciliation experience preferred

  • Deep understanding of Bank Account Reconciliation

  • Previous experience working with Microsoft Excel

  • Practical knowledge of Ledger Journal Entries

  • General ledger experience highly preferred

  • Comprehensive knowledge of account reconciliation

  • Bank reconciliations experience preferred

  • General familiarity with Ledger Entries

  • Earlier work involving Ledger Account Analysis

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Ledger Close

  • Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines

  • Minimum 5-7 years of overall general accounting experience
