System Administrator

The Systems Administrators role is to install, monitor, and maintain servers and services running in the organizations data centers and Microsoft 365 environments. The Systems Administrator will respond to support tickets, monitor and respond to system generated alerts, carry out regular server maintenance, and assist project teams as needed. The ideal candidate for this position will have excellent communication and time management skills, be able to effectively troubleshoot issues of moderate complexity, and demonstrate a high attention to detail.

To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications and skills: Monitor and maintain existing server systems and applications, respond to and resolve system alerts. Administration of Microsoft 365 and Exchange Online user licenses, mailboxes, and access requests. Management of Active Directory Users, Computers, Groups, and Group Policy. Monitor backup and recovery systems. Perform backups and restores as necessary. Perform operating system and software upgrades as required. Participate in monthly server and software patching rotations. Remediate system vulnerabilities as reported by the IT Security team. Track all work in the IT service desk system. Reference and maintain documentation related to system configuration, operational procedures, and system inventory. Provide technical escalation support to Enterprise Support staff and various project teams, escalating to Sr Systems Admins or Systems Engineers, as needed. Other duties as assigned.
