Role Description:

Develop and manage health and welfare plans, retirement plans and a variety of wellbeing programs and time off policies for the US and Canada. Lead US Benefits Committee in annual review of plans and make recommendations for changes; oversee similar Canada Benefits Committee. Direct implementation and administration of plans by Benefits staff, third party administrators, consultants/brokers and insurance companies. Ensure the benefit programs support the organization’s strategic objectives, meet participants’ needs and are market competitive. Effectively lead and develop team of 20+ Benefits professionals working virtually in the US, Canada, and Argentina. Support client relationships with health and financial industry companies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for strategy and design of health and welfare and retirement plans and programs, and time off policies for Accenture and its affiliates

  • Responsible for oversight of third party administration of health and welfare, 401(k) and pension plans and insurance company performance

  • Ensure plans are consistently administered in accordance with plan documents; ensure compliance with government regulations and reporting

  • Oversee vendor selection, contract negotiation and plan implementation

  • Develop communications strategy and oversee content, technical resources and communications channels

  • Act as Subject Matter Expert for Accenture and its affiliates; Act as resource for key HR members and Leadership

  • Maintain balance between program effectiveness and employee satisfaction

  • Define and oversee implementation of recommended plan or process improvements

  • Act as authorized fiduciary signatory for plans and trusts

  • Oversee Ventures & Acquisitions and Outsourcing transactions to ensure benefits consistency and legal compliance

  • Ensure data privacy and security protocols are met and continuously review against evolving requirements

  • Align with Global Benefits on initiatives including Consistent Core Benefits

  • Benchmark programs to ensure they continue to align to market standards and Accenture’s values

  • Participate in task forces/teams for large scale projects across multiple functions

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Minimum of 15 years' experience managing US and Canada benefit programs including benefit plan design.

  • Minimum of 3 years' leading a North America benefits team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent at workload prioritization, resource management and project management. Develops and manages processes that are effective and efficient.

  • Maintains effective working relationships across the company, at the group, divisional, functional, and corporate levels.

  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor, coach and develop team members at various stages of their career paths

  • Able to quickly respond to regulatory changes, executive concerns, internal process issues and escalations

  • Strong understanding of healthcare privacy regulations.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex legal requirements and develop compliance strategies.

  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and integrity.

  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the capacity to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Demonstrated leadership in professional setting; either military or civilian.

  • Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting; either military or civilian.

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Maryland, New York or Washington as set forth below.
