In this job, you will be responsible for supporting the Operational Performance through involvement in data gathering, analysis, and communication with multiple levels of the organization. The successful candidate will be skilled at quantitative analysis, visualizations/presentations, strategy, and planning. The individual seeks solution options by employing advanced analytics and tools to assist in the discovery of operational and service excellence opportunities and adeptly facilitates professional communications to drive results.

A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!

  • Conduct analysis to address business problems and uncover improvement opportunities. Analyze data from existing internal data sources and propose/pursue additional relevant data from external and other sources. Provide recommendations based on analysis to solve complex business problems.

  • Familiarity with operational data. Ability to pull and prep data to support business needs.

  • Communicate insights, trends, and recommendations rooted in business data. Author Business Plans, goals, 5 Year Strategic Plans, operational highlights, maturity models, and capabilities decks. Excel in utilizing clear, concise, and professional communication to effectively convey problems and recommend alternatives. Construct professional decks, write-ups, spreadsheets, charts and graphs and present findings and recommendations for decision making.

  • Support benchmarking effort to advance operational performance. Conduct analysis and ensure tools and methods to convey data and findings are clear, concise, and supportive of business decisions. Leverage business acumen and integrative thinking to connect operational issues/performance.

  • Successfully manage multiple analytical and business support initiatives of varying complexity simultaneously.

  • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

The essentials

  • 5 or more years of demonstrated experience analyzing complex business issues in order to uncover trends, anomalies and opportunities

The preferred

  • Master’s or higher degree, preferably in Business, Computer Science and/or related field

  • Two or more years demonstrating exceptional communication skills, with track record of converting data to easily consumable decks, dashboards and written material

  • Two or more years success taking complex problems, providing analytical solutions and engaging an organization to operationalize the changes; strong problem solving and critical thinking skills with thorough attention to detail

  • Two or more years using advanced knowledge of analytics software or Structured Query Language (SQL) for applicable data and basic knowledge of data warehouses

  • Self-starter with the ability to question status quo, influence change and provide forward- thinking solutions

  • Passion for collaborating with teams – both internal and external to solve complex business problems and arrive at solutions

  • Strong proficiency with MS tools (PPT, Excel, Visio, Project, Planner, CoPilot etc.)

You should know

  • This position’s work mode is *HYBRID. * The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
